However, we do also offer minimally-prepared thin porcelain veneers for those who qualify for this treatment.

What are veneers?

Veneers fit over the front part of your tooth and can help improve the appearance and balance of your smile.

What is involved with getting veneers?

In many cases, we like to show you the design of your new veneers on a wax model, which we can then use to create a mock-up of your teeth, so you can trial your new smile before we make a final decision on the treatment.

Once happy, we will try to shape your teeth with as little destruction as possible, so that the veneer can be attached to your remaining tooth. This involves removing the outer layer of your tooth enamel. We’ll then take an impression of your teeth and send this off to a lab technician for your veneers to be made.

You will be fitted with some temporary veneers and, once your permanent set is ready, you’ll return here to have them fitted. A special cement will be applied so that the veneers stay in place and we’ll use a special light to help the cement set.

What are they made of?

Veneers are made of porcelain and are designed to look and act as much like natural teeth as possibly. They have a similar light-reflecting surface to your natural teeth and are highly durable. You can choose the shade of veneer you want.
